A++ Saturday!!!

Hi! Welcome to A++ Saturday!

A++ is giving the basic information and

adding detail.

A++ is giving extra information in your responses to questions or comments. Here are three examples:

Question/Comment	Answer	+	+
1) How are you?	Fine!	I went for a walk this morning.	I saw so many beautiful flowers!
2) That looks delicious.	It is!	I got it at the bakery near the station.	It was my first time to go to that bakery.
3) Can you play tennis?	No.	I don’t really like sports.	I like reading!

to think A++ for one of this week’s

sentences.

the picture that Katie’s father took of the

snow—brr, cold!

of April. (+) Well, warm weather should be

on its way!

A) Don’t remind me. (+) I bet this summer

will be hot.(+) Oh, well!

Winter Is Tenacious This Year!

And, it seems winter has been tenacious in the past—this story is from 1979:

I like to think of myself as tenacious. Being tenacious can be a very good thing. Pay careful attention to the sitution to decide how “tenacious” is being used!!!

I remember one of my friends in high school applied to Stanford University. She had to write an essay describing herself. She used the word tenacious. She got into Stanford University!!!
