Because there is more then one way to say the same thing.
This week we’re working w/Let me have it!
Out loud; in your head; under your breath!
Hi! Welcome to English w/Katie. I’m Katie, Katie Adler, and it’s Video Monday. Time to begin our “5 Ways To Say It” week, because there is more than one way to say the same thing! This week we’re working with, “Let me have it.” “Let me have it.”
This means if you have something difficult to tell me, something that makes you uncomfortable, maybe it’s criticism– something that you don’t like about what I’m doing and I see your uncomfortable, I would say to you, “Hey! Let me have it. I can take it and we can find a solution.”
So, if I see you and you say to me, “Uhm, Katie, there’s something I have to tell you. Uhm, I need to talk to you about…. I would say to you, “Hey! Let me have it. Just tell me. Get it over with. I can handle it and then we can find a solution.”
So, you say this to someone that you see is uncomfortable, because they have to tell you something and they don’t know how to tell you. So they’re feeling shy or uncomfortable or hesitant and you would say to them, “Hey! Let me have it. Then we can find a solution together.”
It’s not always easy, but hey, Let me have it. And if there’s anything you need to say to me, “Hey, Katie. I don’t like…. Katie, please stop… That’s OK. Let me have it! I can take it and we can find a solution together. All right! This week we’re working with “Let me have it.” Take care and have a good one! Bye!
Let me have it. Let me have it. Let me have it.
