Two famous families or I should say infamous families. These two families are famous in the United States for being at war with each other for over 100 years. They could not “let it go” until 2003.

Apparently, the feud was over 1) the murder of a Hatfield and, thirteen years later, 2) a pig. As the years went by there were more problems between the two families. Finally, in 2003, they let it go and declared peace!

Don’t wait 100 years to let it go! Sing that Disney song and let peace into your heart!

This week we’re working w/Shake it off!

Out loud; in your head; under your breath!

Hi! Welcome to English w/Katie. I’m Katie, Katie Adler, and it’s Video Monday. Time to begin our “Five Ways To Say It Week” and this week we’re working w/”Shake it off!”  “Just shake it off!”

Now, if you think that sounds like a song, you’re right. There is a song called “Shake it off!”  But… “Shake it off” was an idiom long before that song was born.

Right now my cat is eating while I’m doing this video. But, I’m just going to shake it off. I’m not going to let it worry me. I’m going to let it bother me.

So, if something is worrying you or if something is bothering you, shake it off! Shake it off! Like my other cat’s tail. Shake it off! Shake it off!

So, this week we’re working with “Shake it off! Just shake it off! If something is making you feel badly, if someone was mean to you or if something bad has happened, shake it off!  Just shake it off and start again! Take care and have a good one… Bye!

Shake it off!

Shake it off! Shake it off!

Sincerely,

Katie Adler
