We continue Thursday w/Hold off a bit.

Examples!

Hold off a bit. Do you love shopping? Are you going to Italy? Hold off a bit.  It seems that Florence and Venice have better shopping than Rome!

Do you love breakfast? I do! I eat it every day. Hold off a bit? Breakfast? Morning workouts should be done on an empty stomach. That makes sense. I will hold off a bit.

Hold off a bit.

Hold off a bit. Hold off a bit.

Examples!

take a little time

Take a little time. If I take a little time and I miss a chance or opportunity, there is always another chance around the corner! Take a little time. Especially when you are not sure. Like I said, you may miss out because of taking a little  time  but there is always another opportunity!

Tuesday: Wait a bit.

Remember we started on Monday w/

Why don’t you take a day or two?

We continue Tuesday w/Wait a bit.

Examples!

wait a bit

Wait a bit. It can be advice for anything. Especially when it is better not to act or decide NOW. One’s future is a big decision to make. It can seem like you need to choose now. If you can wait a bit, then wait a bit!

wait 2

Wait a bit. Morning coffee? I guess so. It couldn’t hurt! When do you “wait a bit”?

Wait a bit.

Because there is more then one way to say the same thing.

This week we’re working w/Why don’t you take a day or two?

Out loud; in your head; under your breath!

Hi! Welcome to English w/Katie. I’m Katie, Katie Adler, and it’s Video Monday. Time to begin are “Five Ways To Say It Week” because there is more than one way to say the same thing. This week were working with “Why don’t you take a day or two?” “Why don’t you take a day or two?”

When you’re making a decision about something. Maybe to talk to someone. Maybe to buy something. Something that you need to decide about, that you’re thinking about and you ask for advice.   Should I buy it? Should I talk to him? Should I? Why don’t you take a day or two?

It doesn’t need to be done immediately. Slow down, take  your time, if you can. Why don’t you take a day or two? This week we’re working with “Why don’t you take a day or two?”

I hope your summer’s going well! Take care and have a good one! Bye.

Why don’t you take a day or two?

Why don’t you take a day or two?

Why don’t you take a day or two?

Sincerely,

Katie Adler

Boy,  do I need to do this! I have some windows that are quite dirty and will need a good scrubbing.  On Monday I hope to say, “I washed them really well.” I’ll use lots of elbow grease! Do you have any week-end cleaning projects? Will you say, “I washed it/them really well?” Whatever your plans may be, I hope you have a great week-end….

I washed it really well.

In 2013,  in November, I volunteered at the Fukushima Spay Clinic. I was qualified to wash cages and I did. I gave them a good cleaning. All day. You can see the clinic and the cages in this picture:

I had a great experience. I saw the great work that is being done to control the animal population without killing animals. There were lots of cages and I gave them a good cleaning. After volunteering all day. I took a long hot bath and I gave myself a good cleaning!

I gave them a good cleaning.
