OK! I’m not as bad as Veruca! Thank goodness. I must admit though when I catch myself on the verge of being a Veruca and feeling “I want it now!” Common sense takes hold and I rein myself in. I tell my self, “ I want it now, but I can wait!” Veruca is one mighty impatient person! She wants it NOW!

5 ways 1 I can’t seem to hold my horses.

I can’t seem to hold my horses.

Out loud; in your head; under your breath!

Hi! Welcome to English w/Katie. I’m Katie, Katie Adler, and it’s Video Monday time to begin our “Five Ways To Say It” week, because there is more then one way to say the same thing. This week we’re working with “I can’t seem to hold my horses.” I can’t seem to hold my horses.

This means I have not patience. I’m in a hurry. Hurry up! Hurry up! Hurry up!. I want it now. I want it now. I can’t wait. I don’t want to wait. So for example in July and August I start singing Christmas carols because I can’t wait for Christmas. I can’t seem to hold my horses.

“Hold your horses, Katie.”

“No, I can’t seem to hold my horses.”

This week we’re working with “I can’t seem to hold my horses.”  Take care and have a good one. Bye!

I can’t seem to hold my horses.

I can’t seem to hold my horse

Sincerely,

Katie Adler
