Welcome to Video Monday!

Out loud; in your head; under your breath!

Practice makes progress!

I want to be an eloquent speaker.

I want to speak eloquently.

I want to be an eloquent speaker.

I want to speak eloquently.

I am studying how to improve my speaking skills. This includes content, delivery and confidence! I bought two books to help me with my studies. Studying is a life-long journey for me. Communicating is my passion. It is time for me to brush up my ability!

I want to be an eloquent speaker.

I want to speak eloquently.

I want to be an eloquent speaker.

I want to speak eloquently.

Have a good one!

Sincerely,

Katie

A++ Saturday!

Hi! Welcome to A++ (Answer plus, plus) Saturday!

A++ is giving extra information in your responses to questions or comments. Here are three examples:

Question/Comment

Answer

+

+

1) How are you?

Fine!

I went for a walk this morning.

I saw so many beautiful flowers!

2) That looks delicious.

It is!

I got it at the bakery near the station.

It was my first time to go to that bakery.

3) Can you play tennis?

No. I don’t really like sports.

I like reading!

A++ is giving the basic information and adding detail. Here are some ideas for how to think A++ for some of this week’s sentences. Examples from this week are:

a little nuts

overdid it a little

a little crazy

a little overboard

A) I went a little nuts in this chocolate shop I love. I couldn’t help myself. I overdid it a little.

B) It looks delicious. I thought you got it for White Day. It doesn’t seem like you overdid it.

.A) White Day? No, I got it in Kyoto. I got a small cake too.

B) Kyoto? Did you have a recording there? How did it go?

A) It went great. The studio’s near this amazing little chocolate shop. It’s teeny tiny!

B) You certainly did go a little crazy. I hope your showing me this because I get to taste it. Where’s the cake?

A) Here’s a picture of it. I ate the cake by myself. It was out of this world.

Photo on 3-12-14 at 9.30 PM #2

B) I guess you did go a little crazy. Good for you. Sometimes going a little overboard is FUN!

Sincerely,

Katie

She went a little wild buying shoes.

March 12 shoes

She went a little wild buying shoes. Who am I to judge? It is a bit hard to understand the need for 125 pairs of shoes. So interesting that the woman’s husband just found out!

She went a little wild.

She went a little wild.

She went a little wild.
